About the position

The Facilities Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations of assigned properties, ensuring that all building repairs and systems are functioning properly. This role involves coordinating with other maintenance staff and property management to maintain a safe and efficient living environment for residents.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the overall maintenance operations of assigned properties.
  • Perform building repairs including heating and cooling systems, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, sheetrock, construction, roofing, masonry, patching and painting, and household appliances.
  • Coordinate work with the Property Management Specialist and Senior Maintenance Coordinator.

Requirements

  • Experience in building maintenance and repair.
  • Knowledge of heating and cooling systems, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and other maintenance tasks.
  • Ability to coordinate with property management and other maintenance staff.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a nonprofit or community development organization.
  • Familiarity with affordable housing initiatives.
