About the position

The Facilities Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of physical job sites, including office buildings and equipment. This role involves conducting routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment, and ensuring safety and cleanliness in various areas. The coordinator will also act as a liaison between employees and outside contractors, manage maintenance schedules, and prepare facilities for changing weather conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, conference rooms, parking lots, and outdoor recreation spaces.
  • Identifying concerns and providing maintenance solutions.
  • Maintaining and/or repairing extrusion equipment and all assigned support equipment as necessary.
  • Supporting and executing projects identified from production needs and safety concerns.
  • Troubleshooting, adjusting, and helping maintain machinery and mechanical equipment.
  • Performing routine maintenance on facilities and making repairs as needed; ensuring work orders are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors.
  • Ensuring proper security measures for the workplace, including collaborating with security system vendors and the company safety team.
  • Creating reports on maintenance, repairs, and other occurrences for supervisors and relevant staff.
  • Preparing facilities for changing weather conditions.
  • Acting as a liaison between employees and outside contractors needed to resolve specialized problems.
  • Drafting and implementing preventive maintenance schedules for buildings and equipment.
  • Participating on the emergency preparedness planning team.
  • Maintaining inventory of supplies and reordering as needed.
  • Prioritizing and planning work activities efficiently and communicating changes and progress.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must have basic HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and customer service knowledge; able to recognize when a repair is outside of their skill set and make a recommendation to their supervisor.
  • Ability to safely use common power and hand tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite or related software necessary to create and maintain reports and logs.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to show respect and sensitivity for cultural and background differences; assist in promoting a harassment-free environment.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel between facilities as needed.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
  • Must comply with all company policies.
  • Two years of related experience required; 3+ years preferred.
