About the position

As a member of Fidelity's Engineering Operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of equipment and maximizing facility uptime. This role involves performing or overseeing maintenance on critical equipment in data centers and offices, coordinating reactive maintenance, and responding to work orders.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and remedial maintenance on building mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Monitor multiple building systems and correct performance deficiencies through adjustments and maintenance.
  • Direct and assist vendors/contractors in remedial repair activities.
  • Assist engineering staff and maintain communication regarding maintenance activities.
  • Complete daily log entries and update engineering staff via email.
  • Support department projects, plans, and improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO-14001, ISO-27001, and SSAE-16/18 requirements.
  • Switch to standby generators and bypass UPS systems during electrical failures.

Requirements

  • High School diploma, GED, trade school or equivalent experience required.
  • 3+ years of related facilities experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in a mission-critical environment is a plus.
  • Experience with Building Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, or Controls systems.
  • Licensed in HVAC/Refrigeration or Electrical is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, construction documents, and O&M manuals.
  • Knowledge of computer applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, CMMS, and BMS systems.
  • Comprehensive understanding of HVAC, Plumbing, or Electrical industry standards and best practices.
  • Ability to develop and maintain procedures such as SOP, MOP.
