The Facilities Electrical Project Engineer Controls at Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC) is a pivotal role that provides comprehensive engineering support and project management for major maintenance and capital improvement projects at the Grafton facility. This position is responsible for overseeing all equipment upgrades, repairs, and facility enhancements, ensuring that projects align with the operational goals of the plant. The engineer will collaborate closely with Maintenance management to coordinate outages and optimize resource utilization, ensuring minimal disruption to plant operations. In this role, the engineer will develop project scopes, objectives, and timelines, engaging all relevant stakeholders to ensure technical feasibility across multiple concurrent projects. The engineer will act as a lead on both single and multi-discipline projects, managing budgets, schedules, materials, subcontractors, and internal personnel effectively. A critical aspect of the role involves evaluating safety requirements and ensuring regulatory compliance in all designs, thereby maintaining a safe working environment. The engineer will also troubleshoot problems, propose solutions, and work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting. This position requires the ability to interact with a diverse range of personnel, including salaried staff, hourly bargaining-unit employees, consultants, and subcontractors. The engineer must possess the necessary skills to design, test, and implement automated systems, and must be willing to work in various challenging environments, including heights, confined spaces, and areas that may be hot, loud, or oily.
