About the position

The Facilities HVAC Intern at Catalent is responsible for assisting in the troubleshooting and repair of industrial Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems at the Greenville, N.C. facility. This role is designed for individuals currently enrolled in an HVAC degree or certification program, providing hands-on experience in a state-of-the-art facility that specializes in pharmaceutical manufacturing. The intern will work part-time, contributing to the maintenance and operation of HVAC systems critical to the facility's function.

Responsibilities

• Assist with filter changing, oil and greasing, belt adjusting or replacing, and cleaning of cooling towers, coils, evaporators, and condenser tubes.
• Assist with troubleshooting and repairing large and small rooftop units, split systems, chillers, and boilers, hot water systems.
• Install, maintain, and repair ventilation and HVAC equipment.
• Clean, adjust, and repair systems, and perform service calls/Ticket Services.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current or recent enrollment in an HVAC degree program or certification program is required.
• Ability to use tools of the trade (e.g., multimeter, refrigerant gauges, charging charts, and hand tools).
• Position requires the ability to lift in excess of 50 lbs unassisted.
• Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
• Requires bending, squatting, reaching, pushing, climbing, pulling, lifting.
• Requires the ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of time.
• Some exposure to hazardous chemicals and other active chemical ingredients.
