About the position

The Facilities Maintenance Assistant at Copperleaf Golf Club is a part-time role focused on assisting with the maintenance and repair of the club's facilities. The position involves working closely with the Facilities Manager to ensure that the facilities are well-maintained, safe, and meet all operational standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a hands-on approach to maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with routine inspections of the building to identify and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards.
  • Ensure that all work is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Perform various repairs and maintenance tasks (e.g., fixing leaks, repairing doors, changing light bulbs, unclogging drains).
  • Assist with maintaining and repairing plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, and other building equipment.
  • Assist in the installation of new equipment and systems.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment needed for maintenance and repair work.
  • Assist in implementing preventive maintenance schedules to ensure equipment and systems function correctly.
  • Monitor and replace filters, check HVAC systems, and clean air vents and ducts as required.
  • Perform basic cleaning tasks in common areas, including hallways, restrooms, and other shared spaces.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of maintenance equipment and storage areas.
  • Ensure that the building meets safety standards and regulations.
  • Report any potential safety hazards to the Maintenance Manager.
  • Assist with emergency repair situations.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; technical or vocational training in building maintenance or a related field is a plus.
  • Prior experience in maintenance of at least a minimum of 3 years.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and general repair techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to use a variety of tools and maintenance equipment safely.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot basic maintenance issues.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
