About the position

As a Facility Maintenance Controller at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of one of the busiest airports in the world. Your primary responsibility will be to manage all routine, critical, and urgent work requests that come into the Integrated Operations Center (IOC). This position requires you to interface with service requestors and various service providers through multiple communication channels, including phone, email, radio, and web-based service programs. Your goal will be to minimize operational impacts on DFW operations, assets, and customer service while ensuring that all maintenance activities are executed efficiently and effectively. In this role, you will review and prioritize service requests, determining the best response and action to take. You will collaborate closely with ETAM Supervisors and Quality Control Technicians to ensure the accuracy and completeness of work order information. Establishing maintenance request priorities and adjusting schedules to meet both regular and emergency demands will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will also be tasked with monitoring and issuing work orders, ensuring that service providers comply with the required Service Letter Agreements (SLA) and guidelines. Additionally, you will provide timely and accurate updates to IOC and ETAM leadership staff, develop and maintain both electronic and hard copy records, and ensure they remain current and accessible. Your role will also involve maintaining data tracking systems and publishing performance measurement status reports. You will provide administrative and technical support for special studies, compile and analyze data, and offer recommendations for problem resolution. Furthermore, you will assist in coordinating scheduled and non-scheduled power outages, supporting Landside, Terminal, and Airside operational environments within the IOC.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all routine, critical, and urgent work requests received in the Integrated Operations Center (IOC).
  • Interface with service requestors and all ETAM service providers via phone, email, radio, or web-based services programs.
  • Ensure minimal operational impact to DFW operations, assets, and customer service.
  • Review and prioritize all service requests, determining the best response and action.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of work order information by collaborating with ETAM Supervisors and Quality Control Technicians.
  • Establish maintenance request priorities and adjust schedules to meet regular and emergency demands.
  • Provide reports on contractor performance and partner with Facility Supervisors to evaluate contractor performance.
  • Monitor and issue work orders, ensuring service provider compliance with required Service Letter Agreements (SLA) and guidelines.
  • Provide timely and accurate updates to IOC and ETAM leadership staff.
  • Develop and maintain electronic and hard copy records, ensuring they stay current and accessible.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Four years in general maintenance or facilities maintenance, including work order management systems and oversight of maintenance contractors.
  • Two years of specific airport maintenance experience is a plus.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an FBI Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) clearance within six months.
  • Possession of a valid Class C driver's license.
