About the position

The role involves providing 24x7x365 Tier II technical support and troubleshooting assistance for critical infrastructure equipment in facilities. This includes managing systems such as AC power distribution, HVAC systems, and backup power systems to ensure operational integrity and efficiency while reducing costs. The position requires effective communication and leadership skills to stabilize emergency situations and minimize vendor dependency.

Responsibilities

• Provides Tier II support to field technicians and management in emergency situations.
• Maintains core site readiness and identifies deficiencies that need addressing.
• Escalates critical situations to management for remediation.
• Identifies critical infrastructure needing replacement and submits requests for replacement.
• Participates as a subject matter expert on task forces and advises on technical solutions.
• Provides disaster recovery support for facilities and critical infrastructure equipment.
• Assists program managers with maintenance schedules.
• Ensures accuracy of critical infrastructure information for the BCP program.
• Provides on-site preventive maintenance inspection training to field technicians.
• Handles capacity management for critical infrastructure within core sites.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience with critical infrastructure and electrical/electronic systems (AC/DC power).
• Effective communication skills for complex technical tasks.
• Ability to lead teams, vendors, and contractors on major projects.
• Willingness to travel on short notice for emergency assistance.
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
