About the position

The Facilities Maintenance Manager at Walmart is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and service operations of various facility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. This role involves evaluating current and future projects, ensuring compliance with regulations, managing budgets, and leading a team to maintain operational efficiency and safety within the facilities.

Responsibilities

• Direct heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, and critical power maintenance and service operations.
• Evaluate current and future projects and facility needs.
• Identify equipment to increase efficiency and direct temperature adjustments.
• Analyze systems and load requirements for energy reduction.
• Develop standard operating procedures and establish preventive maintenance programs.
• Oversee execution of sustainability initiatives to meet compliance programs.
• Manage complex projects by prioritizing work assignments and supervising work in progress.
• Ensure financial sustainability by developing and approving budgets for capital expenses and staff needs.
• Review budget plans and verify cost estimates on requested projects.
• Maintain project oversight by ensuring timelines are met and coordinating changes.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local industry laws and regulations.
• Provide supervision and development opportunities for associates.
• Promote and support company policies, procedures, and values.

Requirements

• Relevant experience in facilities maintenance management.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Ability to manage budgets and financial planning.
• Experience in project management and overseeing complex projects.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
