The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing general maintenance and repair tasks across various facilities, including the plant, warehouses, grounds, and offices. This role is crucial in ensuring that all local facilities are well-maintained and operational. The technician will engage in a variety of building maintenance activities, which include but are not limited to painting, caulking, drywall repair, and changing lightbulbs, filters, and batteries. Additionally, the technician will handle basic maintenance and repairs related to HVAC systems, locks, windows, doors, electrical systems, small appliances, and plumbing. The technician will also be tasked with performing work orders, improvements, preventive maintenance (PM), and corrective maintenance (CM) activities as assigned. Industrial cleaning is a significant part of the role, which involves power washing, cleaning mixing room ceilings, mechanical equipment, exhaust fans, and bag houses. The technician will assist in furniture assembly and placement, as well as help maintain the organization and cleanliness of the maintenance shop. Grounds maintenance duties, including snow removal and signage upkeep, will also be part of the responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned as needed, making this a versatile role that requires adaptability and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.
