About the position

The Facilities Maintenance Technician II position at Madden Industrial Craftsmen is a full-time role based in Shoreline, WA, offering a competitive pay range of $28 to $30 per hour. This position is integral to maintaining the quality and functionality of residential properties, specifically in the areas of Shoreline, Northgate, and Mount Lake Terrace. The technician will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks, ensuring that all facilities are in excellent condition for residents. The role requires a professional attitude, reliability, and a commitment to safety and quality service. The technician will work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with responsibilities that include routine and preventative maintenance, repairs, and tenant services. This position may also lead to temporary-to-hire opportunities, providing a pathway for career advancement within the company.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily service, routine and preventative maintenance in units and common areas.
• Prepares move-in inspection reports with new and vacating residents.
• Conducts self-safety inspections around the complex and with co-workers.
• Repairs roof, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and carpentry for the complex.
• Tracks key/lock systems and changes locks as needed.
• Installs new appliances such as dishwashers, ranges, and refrigerators.
• Provides courtesy services for tenants, such as delivering packages and routine maintenance for pool/spa.
• Repairs and repaints interior and exterior of common areas as needed.

Requirements

• 2+ years' experience in apartment maintenance or related experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 100 lbs daily.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders and reach for supplies for overhead painting.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and carry out both verbal and written instructions.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in maintenance, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and appliance troubleshooting preferred.
