About the position

The Facilities Maintenance Technician II is responsible for performing construction, maintenance, and repair work on Clayton County Water Authority (CCWA) buildings and facilities. This role involves a variety of tasks including painting, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and equipment installation, ensuring that all facilities are well-maintained and operational.

Responsibilities

• Perform painting work on buildings, pumps, piping, etc.
• Conduct general carpentry work.
• Execute routine masonry work, including building forms for concrete and repairing existing concrete structures.
• Tear down and rehabilitate buildings, offices, and restrooms.
• Carry out routine plumbing work.
• Remove and install equipment as needed.
• Perform sandblasting on various structures and equipment.
• Maintain records of temporary labor working on projects and train them for various assignments.
• Process documentation associated with department operations within designated timeframes.
• Operate various equipment, power tools, hand tools, and supplies to complete work assignments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of experience in facilities maintenance or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Valid Georgia driver's license.
