About the position

The Facilities Maintenance Technician III role at Medtronic involves performing repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, ensuring that machinery and equipment operate efficiently. This position is crucial for maintaining the operational integrity of the distribution hub in Woolwich County, New Jersey, which is part of Medtronic's modernization efforts to enhance product distribution and customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, or on machines and equipment.
• Conducts routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment.
• Uses hand and power tools for maintenance tasks.
• Tests, inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs machines and equipment.
• Uses blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience; vocational or technical education or certification may be required.
• Experience in one or more maintenance trades such as carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine and equipment repair, electrical, sheet metal fabrication, and welding.

Nice-to-haves

• Distribution center experience
• Troubleshooting and repairing material handling equipment, conveyors, etc.
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
• Ability to use multi meter to troubleshoot incoming power and low voltage controls
• HVAC experience
• Electrical experience
• EPA universal certification
• Knowledge of GMPs, FDA regulations, Quality System Regulations (QSR), ISO 13485 requirements
• Knowledge in EHS field.
