About the position

The position is responsible for monitoring and maintaining building equipment and structures to ensure the highest operating standards, providing a quality and safe experience for members, guests, and staff. The role involves troubleshooting equipment, performing preventative maintenance, and responding to various repair needs throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots equipment using proper tools in a skilled craftsman-like manner.
• Performs assignments as directed by the Assistant Chief Engineer and Chief Engineer.
• Troubleshoots and repairs laundry, kitchen, and HVAC equipment.
• Performs preventative maintenance in guestrooms, public areas, and on all assigned equipment.
• Repairs all malfunctioning mechanical devices.
• Responds to room repairs regarding carpentry, electrical, plumbing, carpeting, painting, and furniture repair.
• Maintains pools and spas.
• Maintains key control systems and participates in re-keying of facility as needed.
• Assists with cleaning of mechanical spaces, engineering shop, and other general areas.
• Responds to guest room calls.
• Delivers "I Am Proud" service standards and department-specific signature touch points.
• Establishes cross-departmental channels of communication among teammates that are consistent and complete.

Requirements

• Requires general building maintenance knowledge.
• Minimum formal education of a high school diploma.
• Minimum of one-year job-related experience.
• Valid driver's license required to drive company licensed vehicles.

Nice-to-haves

• Certified pool operations certificate preferred but not required.
• CPR Certification.
• Food Protection Manager Certification.
• Food Handler Certification.
• Alcohol Server/Seller Certification.
