About the position

The Facilities Maintenance Technician at Globus Medical is responsible for the repair and maintenance of the facility, ensuring a safe and secure environment for both visitors and staff. This role encompasses a variety of tasks including carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, HVAC maintenance, and general repairs. The technician will work closely with the Facilities Maintenance Manager to address maintenance needs and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect building interiors and exteriors to identify defects and recommend necessary repairs.
  • Perform electrical work, including installing new circuits and repairing fixtures and devices.
  • Conduct plumbing work, including installing new water and drain lines and repairing leaks.
  • Execute painting, carpentry, and masonry work as needed.
  • Communicate regularly with the Facilities Maintenance Manager to provide updates and feedback.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on HVAC equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of preventative maintenance and service requests.
  • Provide on-call support for emergencies or off-hours issues.
  • Follow the preventative maintenance schedule set by the Facilities Maintenance Manager.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • At least 3 years of related work experience is required.
  • Proficiency with hand tools and power tools is required.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • Valid Driver's License with good driving record is preferred.
  • Refrigerant universal certification is preferred.
  • General experience with machinery, scissor lift, and pallet jack preferred.
