About the position
The Facilities Management Manager at Reston Hospital Center is responsible for overseeing the engineering staff and ensuring the maintenance and repair of critical systems such as HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, telecom, and plumbing. This role involves planning, inspecting, and implementing departmental procedures, as well as providing leadership and consultative services to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. The manager will also engage in data management and analysis to improve program effectiveness and address root causes of issues.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise the work activities of the Engineering staff.
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, telecom, and plumbing systems.
- Assist the department Director in planning, inspecting, and implementing departmental procedures.
- Participate in the interviewing, selection, training, and evaluation of skilled department staff.
- Provide leadership and consultative services to departments to achieve regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with clinicians and staff to develop processes that comply with regulatory standards.
- Apply data management principles to analyze statistical processes and program effectiveness.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of managerial experience in planning and systems analysis management.
- Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory requirements for healthcare facilities.
- Excellent computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong data analysis skills and ability to write clear reports.
