About the position

The Facilities Manager will oversee the maintenance and operations of a private oceanfront estate in Delray Beach, Florida. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with experience in managing both an in-house maintenance team and external vendors, ensuring the estate's facilities are well-maintained and operational. Responsibilities

• Supervise daily maintenance of all estate facilities, ensuring optimal functionality of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other systems.
• Lead a 4-person maintenance team on-site and coordinate with external vendors, including electricians, plumbers, and HVAC specialists.
• Implement a preventative maintenance program to ensure longevity and reliability of estate facilities and equipment.
• Oversee renovation and repair projects, managing timelines, budgets, and quality.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, regularly inspect property for hazards, and address issues swiftly.
• Maintain the estate's grounds year-round, including gardens, lawns, pool areas, and beachfront.
• Assist the Estate Manager in preparing and managing the facilities budget, tracking expenditures.
• Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment, ensuring availability and functionality.
• Be on call for urgent maintenance needs, addressing emergencies as they arise.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Facilities Manager, with in-house experience at a GC or construction firm preferred.
• Experience managing a private estate or working with a private family.
• Excellent references from previous employers.
• Expertise in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and security systems.
• Strong project management skills, handling multiple priorities effectively.
• Leadership and team management experience with the ability to oversee both internal staff and external vendors.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to excellence.
• Ability to work independently and proactively.
• Flexibility to respond to emergencies as needed.
• Knowledge of landscaping and grounds maintenance is beneficial.
• Valid driver's license and US work authorization.
