About the position

As a CBRE Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing building operations and maintenance for a facility, campus, or a portfolio of small to medium-sized buildings. This role is integral to the Facilities Management functional area, which focuses on all aspects of the operations of a set of assets. You will provide support to the Property Managers regarding all repairs and investment plans, ensuring that facilities are maintained to the highest standards and that operational efficiencies are identified and implemented. In this position, you will provide formal supervision to employees, monitoring their training and development. You will conduct performance evaluations and coaching, ensuring that your team is well-equipped to handle their responsibilities. Scheduling and managing the team's daily activities will be a key part of your role, as you establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. You will also set and track staff and department deadlines, mentoring and coaching as needed to foster a productive work environment. Your responsibilities will include coordinating and managing facility repairs and maintenance by working closely with technicians, vendors, and contractors. Maintaining positive client relationships is crucial, and you will conduct meetings to address unresolved facility issues. You will prepare and manage capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports, ensuring that all financial aspects of facility management are handled efficiently. Performing facility inspections for quality assurance in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations will be part of your duties. You will suggest operational efficiencies, repairs, and upgrade opportunities to enhance facility performance. Additionally, you will manage environmental health and safety procedures for facilities, oversee vendor relationships and invoicing procedures, and review price quotes for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects. Training staff on processes and procedures related to maintenance, repairs, and safety best practices will be essential. You will lead by example, modeling behaviors consistent with CBRE's RISE values of Respect, Integrity, Service, and Excellence. Your ability to influence parties of shared interests to reach agreements will be key to your success in this role. You will apply your knowledge of your discipline and how it integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives, identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving day-to-day and moderately complex issues as they arise.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of four years of related experience and/or training.
  • Associates degree or Bachelor's degree preferred with a focus on business, technical, or management areas.
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • Facility Management certification preferred.
  • Driver's license is required.
