About the position

The Facilities Manager at Switch4 LLC is responsible for overseeing a multi-generational team of maintenance technicians across 41 buildings, including administrative and student dorms. This role requires strong leadership and technical expertise in facilities management, particularly in HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and boiler maintenance. The Facilities Manager will report directly to the Director of Facilities and is expected to enhance client programs through effective management of maintenance operations and strategic planning.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of 30 Maintenance Technicians across 41 buildings.
• Oversee maintenance operations including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and boiler systems.
• Develop and implement short- and long-range planning for facilities management.
• Coordinate construction and renovation projects as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety and maintenance standards.
• Manage janitorial services, building security, and mail services.
• Optimize energy management and grounds maintenance.
• Maintain detailed documentation of maintenance activities and team management.

Requirements

• 3 years of management experience in facilities management.
• 3 years of functional experience in maintenance operations.
• Strong technical knowledge in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and safety systems.
• Proven leadership skills with a focus on team development and customer service.
• Demonstrated business and financial acumen with P&L understanding.

• Experience with boiler repair and maintenance.
