About the position

The Facilities Manager at The Botanist-Acreage Holdings is responsible for overseeing the cultivation and processing facility, equipment, grounds, and retail locations to ensure safe and effective working conditions. This role involves performing technical repairs and maintenance, managing external contractors, and ensuring compliance with state regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and oversee the cultivation and processing facility, equipment, grounds, and retail locations.
• Conduct regular inspections for maintenance and safety procedures.
• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Engage and negotiate with external contractors and licensed tradesmen for large-scale projects.
• Establish and manage SOPs for maintenance, sanitation, core services, and waste management.
• Maintain inventory, storage, and distribution of supplies and equipment.
• Provide recommendations for new equipment.
• Manage installation, testing, and maintenance of equipment.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in functionality, efficiency, and sustainability.
• Lead, train, and develop the Facilities team.
• Maintain compliance with state regulations and Acreage policies.
• Create and maintain a system for warranties, records, licenses, inspections, and service agreements.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• HVAC experience required.
• 5 or more years of facilities management experience.
• Strong management and supervisory skills.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong work ethic and accountability.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in construction and knowledge of commonly used equipment and tools.
• Strong experience with preventive maintenance, planning, and execution.
