About the position

The Facilities Operations Excellence Program Manager at Rush University Medical Center is responsible for leading continuous improvement and process optimization within the facilities management domain. This role focuses on enhancing operational efficiency across both clinical and non-clinical environments by integrating data analysis, process improvement, and project management. The manager collaborates with various stakeholders to drive innovation and ensure regulatory compliance while prioritizing occupant satisfaction and service excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Implement cost-effective, innovative solutions to enhance facilities performance and occupant experience.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing data-driven insights across facility operations to ensure consensus and follow-through.
  • Manage cross-functional projects aimed at operational excellence and regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee data tracking, analyze key metrics, and generate reports to inform strategic decisions.
  • Identify and address facility risks ensuring safety, functionality, and financial responsibility.
  • Foster collaboration across clinical, administrative, and support teams to streamline processes.
  • Ensure customer-focused operations, leading efforts in service excellence and staff training.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of customer-focused events and maintenance activities.
  • Train and supervise direct reports as applicable.
  • Supervise the creation and implementation of all facility-related customer service initiatives.
  • Maintain a database of facility maintenance records and staff information.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Five or more years of experience in facilities management, data analytics, process improvement, or related field/industry.
  • Experience with project management and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to understand building occupant concerns and handle them appropriately.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in healthcare management, business administration, or a related field.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification and/or PMP certification or willingness to acquire within 12 months.
  • Experience with AI and related applications for process optimization.
