About the position

The Facilities Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring that all operational facilities and equipment are safe, well-maintained, and ready for deployment. This role involves managing emergency response protocols, coordinating with vendors, and supporting business continuity efforts. The manager will also assist in training facility technicians and provide technical expertise to support enterprise-wide projects.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to emergency situations at any bank facility.
  • Coordinate storing, staging, transporting, and fueling mobile generators during emergent events.
  • Work closely with Procurement to manage emergency response partners.
  • Support clean-up and repair efforts from weather or other incidents.
  • Communicate proactively with vendors regarding known weather events.
  • Participate in business continuity incident calls and keep stakeholders informed.
  • Coordinate assistance for teammates with severe property damage due to large weather events.
  • Assist Facility Managers with winter weather preparation and remediation.
  • Manage critical equipment installation and maintenance for facilities.
  • Coordinate with engineers and internal teams on major mechanical systems and projects.
  • Manage fixed building generators at branch locations.
  • Assist in creating and managing operating and capital budgets.
  • Assist in annual facility condition assessments.
  • Train and coach technicians on technical/mechanical issues.
  • Assist in acquiring new service contracts for areas of oversight.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes and company directives.
  • Maintain up-to-date building emergency response protocols.
  • Research, recommend, and implement energy-related initiatives.
  • Report unsafe conditions and investigate reported issues.
  • Develop and oversee pandemic or similar protocols.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 5 years experience required, preferably with multi-site portfolio.
  • Advanced knowledge of building mechanical systems, generators, UPS systems, fire pumps, and data room HVAC required.
  • Certifications in electrical or HVAC strongly preferred.
  • Intermediate computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • CMMS/Work order management experience required.
  • Facility project management experience required.
  • Familiarity with building codes and safety regulations required.
  • Ability to read and understand construction specifications and drawings required.
  • Positive attitude/customer service mindset required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Ability to remain calm and work diligently in high-stress situations required.
