About the position

As a Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and management of eight buildings. This role requires you to exercise responsibility for various aspects including maintenance, space allocation, utilization, building alterations, and budget development and execution. You will manage an integrated program of repair and preventative maintenance to ensure that facilities are in optimal condition. Your duties will also include managing the key control program and analyzing current space assignment standards to recommend reallocations that optimize utilization based on personnel and program changes. Additionally, you will coordinate and periodically review building emergency programs, which include fire and threat evacuation protocols. This position is critical in ensuring that the facilities meet operational standards and support the needs of the personnel and programs housed within them.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for maintenance and management of eight buildings.
  • Exercise responsibility for space allocation and utilization.
  • Manage building alterations and budget development and execution.
  • Oversee an integrated program of repair and preventative maintenance.
  • Analyze current space assignment standards and recommend reallocations for optimum utilization.
  • Coordinate and periodically review building emergency programs, including fire and threat evacuation protocols.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
  • Must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
  • Current federal employees must have served at least one year at the next lower grade level.
  • Retired military members must comply with provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Must obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
  • Must maintain a current valid United States driver's license.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in facilities management within a federal or military context.
  • Knowledge of federal regulations regarding facilities maintenance and management.
  • Ability to analyze and implement budgetary requirements effectively.
