The Facilities Operations Specialist position at the Department of Defense is a critical role that ensures the successful operations of various facilities. This includes making informed decisions about work priorities to ensure accurate completion of assignments and projects, and making adjustments as required. Additionally, the specialist will implement management internal controls to ensure audit compliance and analyze ineffective controls, contributing to the overall integrity of operations within the agency.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Successful completion of a drug test is mandatory.
  • Must undergo a thorough background investigation.
  • Undergraduate and graduate education in engineering, industrial arts, property management, or business administration is required.
  • Specialized experience in managing maintenance programs for various facilities is necessary.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with DIA, ODNI, or OSD Facilities programs, including military construction projects.
  • Project Management experience in delivering large construction projects or executing multi-million-dollar facility renovations.
  • Familiarity with Government Accountability Office (GAO) 24-step best practices for Analysis of Alternatives (AOA).
