Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections of building systems, such as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical, to ensure proper functioning.
  • Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on facility equipment, including lighting, doors, and appliances.
  • Monitor and respond to building automation systems and alarms to maintain optimal conditions.
  • Perform troubleshooting of basic issues with equipment and infrastructure, escalating more complex problems to senior technicians.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of mechanical rooms, storage areas, and other operational spaces.
  • Perform general upkeep tasks, such as replacing filters, checking water systems, and ensuring safety compliance.
  • Support event or office setup needs by ensuring equipment is properly positioned and functional.
  • Supervise and communicate with vendors and contractors for repairs or deliveries, ensuring adherence to facility protocols.
  • Assist to ensure cleanroom, lab, and office spaces meet strict regulatory and operational standards.
  • Assist with the installation and maintenance of major equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and seamless integration with the manufacturing process.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional experience in Facilities Operations, preferably in semiconductor, manufacturing, biomedical science facilities or a similar environment.
  • Experience in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, as well as general building maintenance practices.
  • Proficient troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for various facility-related issues.
  • Excellent understanding and application of safety standards.
  • Customer-centric approach with a proactive, on-the-ground attitude tailored for the demands of a factory environment.
  • Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) and automated control systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Hands-on experience with process gasses, chemicals, and navigating cleanroom environments.
  • Skilled in coordinating and overseeing external contractors and vendors.
  • Advanced or technical degree in electrical, mechanical, plumbing disciplines, controls, etc.
