About The Position

The Facilities Project Manager at BAE Systems is responsible for overseeing the planning, design, and execution of capital infrastructure projects that support critical building operations and manufacturing processes. This role involves managing a portfolio of projects, ensuring they are completed ahead of schedule and under budget, while collaborating with various stakeholders and contractors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, civil engineering, construction management, or a related technical discipline.
  • 6-8 years of project management experience or related experience in facilities management/operations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of building infrastructure and support systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical distribution, and fire protection systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • Experience with Project Management tools such as Procore.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the scope, budget, design, and schedule of multiple plant rearrangement and production equipment installation projects.
  • Conduct project planning, design, bidding work to general contractors, and closing out projects.
  • Collaborate with staff engineers, contract consultants, and internal stakeholders to develop project requirements and oversee engineering plans.
  • Evaluate, select, and coordinate activities of external consultants and contractors for corporate facilities projects.
  • Manage financial budgets, track costs, and provide accurate cost and schedule tracking to stakeholders.
  • Prepare spending forecasts, establish budgets, approve invoices, and manage change orders.
  • Oversee execution of construction projects to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Conduct major facility studies and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local codes.
