About the position

The Facilities Service Worker position is a vital role within the Department of Culture, Parks, and Recreation, primarily located at the Family Funplex. This position is responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of various facilities, ensuring they are well-maintained and ready for public use. The worker will also assist in event setup and teardown, while effectively communicating with supervisors and staff to meet facility needs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the cleaning and maintenance of one CPRD facility.
• Operate small equipment such as buffers, vacuums, extractors, and lifts.
• Provide general maintenance and repairs including light replacement, painting, and upkeep of furniture and fixtures.
• Assist in deep cleaning projects at multiple facilities during closures.
• Communicate with supervisor regarding custodial and cleaning supply needs.
• Remove trash and maintain the building exterior and grounds.
• Provide setup and teardown for facility events.
• Demonstrate a high level of internal and external customer service.
• Communicate effectively with staff to ensure event needs are met.
• Meet weekly with the Crew Leader to provide updates on staff, facilities, events, and maintenance.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Colorado driver's license.
• One year of related experience (preferred).
• Bilingual – English/Spanish (preferred).
• Knowledge of the business and organizational structure of Colorado municipalities.
• Collaboration skills to work with diverse teams.
• Computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication and teamwork.
• Excellent oral, written, and listening communication skills.
• Organizational skills to manage tasks and deadlines.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
