About the position

The Facilities Specialist at Land O'Lakes is responsible for leading and coordinating facilities management initiatives for both leased and owned properties. This role ensures compliance with company policies and guidelines while providing project management and operational support. The position requires effective communication and relationship management across various stakeholders, including local site contacts, property owners, and vendors. The role can be performed remotely, with a hybrid option available for candidates local to the Arden Hills, MN office.

Responsibilities

• Source and manage service contracts for facility maintenance needs, including contract specifications and administration.
• Manage contractors and collaborate with procurement to ensure compliance with documented insurance and certifications.
• Ensure building maintenance requirements in lease documents are followed and conduct audits for accuracy.
• Plan, budget, and schedule maintenance work, ensuring completion by certified contractors.
• Oversee contractor work to ensure quality, timely completion, and accurate invoicing.
• Coordinate risk reduction reports with site managers and assist with insurance audits.
• Administer emergency preparedness and business continuity planning for EH&S.
• Manage vacant properties and those leased to others.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of 6 years work experience in corporate real estate and/or facilities management.
• Understanding of building systems including HVAC, electrical, and structural components.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Certification as a Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Facility Management Administrator (FMA) is desired.
