We are currently seeking a Facilities Technician to join our team at the Denver Manufacturing facility. This role is essential for maintaining the buildings and ensuring a safe and efficient working environment. The Facilities Technician will be responsible for a variety of maintenance tasks, including minor plumbing repairs, painting, carpentry, and masonry work. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in facility maintenance, either in a residential or commercial setting. The role requires the ability to troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment safely, perform skilled and unskilled duties across various building trades, and use hand, power, and specialty tools responsibly. Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills are essential, as the technician will work both independently and as part of a team. The position involves a shift schedule that includes Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM and Thursday through Saturday from 5:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with overtime required based on business needs. The physical demands of the job include regular lifting of up to 50 pounds, climbing, balancing, and using sensory perception for quality measurement. The work environment may fluctuate in temperature and involves working around heavy machinery, necessitating hearing protection in production areas.

Responsibilities

  • Perform minor plumbing maintenance, including the replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets, and unclogging drains.
  • Conduct minor painting, carpentry, and masonry work, such as preparing surfaces and applying paints, stains, and varnishes.
  • Cut out and join parts for worktables, benches, shelves, and other furnishings.
  • Patch or replace plaster or plasterboard and paint walls, ceilings, and trim of the building.
  • Change lighting ballast and install 277v light switches in a commercial building.
  • Knowledge of bending and installing conduit to code.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • One (1) year of experience in facility maintenance in a residential or commercial facility.
  • Ability to safely troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment.
  • Ability to perform a variety of skilled and unskilled duties in one or more of the building trades, such as drywall, plumbing, carpentry, and painting.
  • Ability to use various hand, power, and specialty tools in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and cohesively as a member of a team.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills required.
  • Must be able to bring your own tools to work.
