About the position

The Facilities Technician role at Dovre Group in Houston, TX, involves performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the functionality and aesthetics of the facility. The technician will be responsible for minor repairs, HVAC system troubleshooting, and compliance with safety and operational standards, while maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.

Responsibilities

• Complete minor repairs, hardware replacement, repainting, patching, sealing, and random tile replacement.
• Visually inspect and test equipment for wear.
• Troubleshoot and repair all HVAC system components.
• Dismantle, repair, or replace machinery, mechanical devices, and complex electrical systems.
• Clean and lubricate machines.
• Service and maintain hydraulic, gas, or pneumatic piping systems.
• Install new equipment as required and repair or install facility lighting.
• Conduct and document scheduled audits of the facility's physical conditions using a maintenance management system.
• Perform maintenance service including emergency service as required.
• Maintain stock levels, materials, subassemblies, and tools.
• Direct and monitor vendor and service provider personnel as required.
• Interface with maintenance request log daily for work input.
• Perform building services at the facilities as requested.
• Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in facilities maintenance.
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems, building safety, fire, OSHA, and ADA codes.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and trace circuits.
• Ability to troubleshoot HVAC systems.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow oral instructions and read technical manuals and diagrams including blueprints.
• Basic understanding of mathematics.
