About the position
The position involves working as a technician in a distribution center environment, focusing on the maintenance and repair of complex electro-mechanical systems, including forklifts, bailers, and compactors. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement through lean six sigma methodologies. Technicians will be responsible for preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations while fostering effective relationships with associates and vendors.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electro-mechanical systems in a distribution center.
- Provide electrical, mechanical, and automation support for forklifts, batteries, bailers, and compactors.
- Complete Daily Operator Check List Work Orders, inspections, and provide support on team radios.
- Self-start in learning new equipment and lead preventative maintenance efforts.
- Train and communicate effectively with associates, service contractors, and vendors.
- Assist facility and maintenance technicians with conveyance, package, or building utilities systems.
- Maintain a safety-first mindset in all job functions and comply with safety regulations.
Requirements
- Typically requires 1+ years of related experience.
- Strong electrical, mechanical, and automation skills.
- Experience in troubleshooting and repair of industrial facility systems.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of lean six sigma methodologies.
- Experience with safety compliance in a warehouse environment.
