About the position
We are seeking a skilled Facilities Technician to join our team. This hands-on role involves performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the efficient operation of our facilities, requiring strong technical skills and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities
- Maintain routine maintenance on the building HVAC equipment to keep climate control in the facility functioning properly.
- Fix any potential safety hazards to avoid injuries.
- Carry out general maintenance on machines, including cleaning, greasing, and servicing of the manufacturing equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and the premises.
- Perform repairs on equipment as necessary with assistance from engineering.
- Lead efforts for relocation of equipment and workstations when needed.
- Handle basic repairs and maintenance on the facility and grounds in a timely manner.
- Perform solder pot maintenance and repair.
- Track, perform and log all scheduled preventative maintenance and calibration on equipment.
- Coordinate and supervise any outside contractors or repair personnel performing tasks in the facility including restricted access areas.
Requirements
- Servicing and maintaining compressed air and Nitrogen systems.
- General facility maintenance experience.
- Plumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs, or other drainage problems.
- Interpersonal skills to interact and communicate with employees in a pleasant manner.
- Physical stamina to handle a full shift of being active and able to lift to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of or experience working with mechanical tools and machines.
- Basic electrical wiring knowledge.
- Experience working with numerous hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment.
- Forklift operation experience.
