About the position

WCR is seeking a skilled and motivated Tool Maintenance Technician for our Metal Department. This role is essential for the upkeep, setup, and repair of tooling for metal stamping and punching operations, ensuring the efficiency and quality of our manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and upkeep of metal stamping and punching tooling.
• Setup and changeover of metal stamping and punching tools for production runs.
• Utilize measuring devices to ensure tool accuracy.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and overhead cranes.
• Collaborate with production teams to meet manufacturing goals.
• Provide regular updates to the Engineering Manager.
• Maintain detailed records of tool maintenance and repairs.
• Assist with other tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience using hand and power tools.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Attention to detail and a focus on quality.
• Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Forklift and overhead crane operation experience is a plus (training available).
