About the position

The Facility and Pipeline Drafter at Redbud Partners, LLC is a crucial role within the Oil and Gas Industry, responsible for creating precise technical drawings and schematics for facilities and pipelines. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with proficiency in drafting software and a strong understanding of industry standards to ensure high-quality design documentation.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed and accurate technical drawings, schematics, layouts, and plans for oil and gas facilities and pipelines.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and project managers to transform engineering concepts into visual representations.
• Read and understand engineering drawings and reproduce P&IDs for equipment and piping design.
• Interpret and implement design specifications, ensuring compliance with industry codes and safety regulations.
• Develop 2D and 3D drawings reflecting facility layouts, equipment placement, and piping systems.
• Utilize AutoDesk, AutoCAD 2D, and AutoCAD Plant 3D software proficiently to produce drawings.
• Organize and manage drawing files and documentation in a structured manner.
• Perform quality checks on drafted drawings for accuracy and adherence to design standards.
• Communicate effectively with engineering teams and stakeholders to clarify design requirements.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement in drafting workflows.

Requirements

• Associate degree or certification in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field; Bachelor's degree is a plus.
• 5-10 years of experience in drafting roles within the oil and gas industry, focusing on facilities and pipelines.
• Proficiency in Autodesk, AutoCAD 2D, AutoCAD Plant 3D, and similar tools.
• Solid understanding of oil and gas industry codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical drawings.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
• Knowledge of 3D modeling software is advantageous.
• Knowledge of petroleum or liquid pipeline products or petroleum-related facilities.
