Black & Veatch has an exciting opportunity for a mid to senior level Engineer interested in Facility Assessment and Asset Management. This position is part of our national Digital and Asset Lifecycle Team, responsible for supporting the inspection and evaluation of facility assessment data to provide asset management and performance optimization support to a wide variety of utility and engineering projects. The role involves safely planning and managing field-based asset inspection and performance evaluations of water, wastewater, and stormwater vertical and buried infrastructure. The engineer will be familiar with current and future non-destructive assessment and condition monitoring activities and trends. They will undertake the coordination and logistical support to multi-disciplinary teams, including solving field work related logistical challenges. Additionally, the engineer will manage the structuring, storage, and utilization of diverse data and asset information, providing input on assessment data interpretation and producing results in a professional quality report document. The engineer will also assist in or oversee the development of rehabilitation alternatives and designs, coordinating closely with associated Asset Management, Design, and Safety teams. Understanding available pipeline inspection techniques and rehabilitation options is crucial, as is assisting with the execution of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) programs for client organizations. The role includes the development of maintenance plans for existing and future equipment vertical and linear assets, working with the project team to prepare proposals, technical papers, presentations, reports, and implementation plans, and developing detailed project deliverables. Additional tasks specific to the area of expertise may also be performed.
