About the position

As a Facility Cleaner on the 2nd Shift at ABB, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our employees and visitors. This position is essential to the overall operations of the facility, ensuring that all areas are kept in pristine condition. You will be responsible for a variety of cleaning tasks, including buffing, sweeping, and mopping floors of various types, dusting countertops and loose furniture, and scrubbing and sanitizing toilets, sinks, and kitchen fixtures. Your attention to detail will be vital as you empty trash cans in common areas and wash and dry windows to ensure a welcoming atmosphere. In addition to your cleaning duties, you will liaise with the Facility Manager to ensure that there are always sufficient cleaning products available. You will also be responsible for reporting any breakages that occur during the cleaning process and informing the Facility Manager of any repairs that need to be addressed. Restocking bathrooms, kitchen areas, and conference rooms will also be part of your responsibilities. It is essential that you meet or exceed company requirements for safety and follow checklists to ensure the completion of all tasks. You will be expected to operate within standard operating procedures while maintaining a clean work area and using a variety of cleaning products and equipment effectively. This position requires a commitment to quality and safety, as well as the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Proven experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to complete tasks on time with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Willingness to work overtime to meet business objectives.
