About the position

The Facility Coordinator/Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operational efficiency of Ice Realm in Carlsbad, CA. This role includes managing the Zamboni crew, ensuring optimal ice quality, and overseeing building maintenance. Responsibilities

• Manage the Zamboni crew and ensure optimal ice quality.
• Oversee building maintenance and repair schedules.
• Train staff on operational procedures and safety protocols.
• Prepare and submit operational reports.
• Maintain maintenance logs and shared project reports.
• Coordinate with other departments to support rink events and programs.
• Perform other duties as requested by the leadership and management team.

Requirements

• Experience in facility management or a similar role.
• Knowledge of ice rink operations and maintenance.
• Strong organizational and training skills.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
• Proficient in basic construction techniques and mechanical systems.
• Strong handyman skills with experience in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general repairs.
