About the position

The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) has a need for a Facility Coordinator to support our government customer located in Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. This position involves a variety of responsibilities related to facility management, safety inspections, and emergency response.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections of Life, Health & Safety Equipment including fire extinguishers, AEDs, and Eye Wash Stations.
  • Serve as the Fire Monitor in all CBC buildings and work with APG FD Fire Inspectors.
  • Monitor areas for restocking and resupply.
  • Coordinate with Project Engineer for project support and contractor escorting.
  • Responsible for snow removal and spill cleanup as needed.
  • Support after-hours emergency response for weather or facility-related issues.
  • Provide emergency response for floods, mold remediation, bodily fluid clean-up, and general housekeeping.
  • Follow all internal & external procedures/SOPs.
  • Monitor and police the surrounding exterior grounds up to 50 feet from the building.
  • Assist building occupants to identify and resolve concerns.
  • Maintain a neat and presentable appearance of facilities.
  • Follow directions from Supervisor and Government Leadership while working independently and as part of a team.
  • Support customer schedules in scheduling repairs and annual requirements.
  • Maintain records for accountability and to an audit standard.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Identify safety concerns to Supervisor and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate files and provide documentation to Government Lead when requested.
  • Provide required monthly data to Supervisor for reporting.
  • Ensure all administrative functions/paperwork are completed on time and in the required format.
  • Maintain a clean and safe worksite while performing job duties.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of Facility Management Experience and Bachelor's Degree in related field, and active Maryland CLASS C Driver's License.
  • Or minimum of 8 years of Facility Management Experience and active IFMA Facility Management Professional (FMP) Certification, and active CLASS C Driver's License.
  • Or minimum of 20 years of Commercial or Industrial Facility Management Experience and active CLASS C Driver's License.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be able to pass a NAC background check.
