About the position

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Med-Surg RN to join our team as a Facility Float Pool Nurse at Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City. As a member of our Float Pool team, you will have the opportunity to work in various Med-Surg areas, including Step Down, Cardio, Ortho, Oncology, Neuro, and General Surgery. This role is designed for nurses who are adaptable and eager to provide high-quality care across different departments, ensuring that patients receive the best possible treatment regardless of their specific needs. In this position, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in accordance with the Mercy Nursing Professional Practice Model and nursing process. You will coordinate patient care with other departments and maintain patient rights and confidentiality. It is essential to function within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with established guidelines of nursing practice. You will perform your duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards, which emphasize compassion, excellence, and service to our community. Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in accordance with the Mercy Nursing Professional Practice Model and nursing process.
• Coordinate patient care with other departments and maintain patient rights and confidentiality.
• Function within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with established guidelines of nursing practice.
• Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Requirements

• Current RN licensure with Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current RN Oklahoma temporary work permit.
• 1 year Med Surg experience as a RN.
• BLS certification.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
