About the position

The Facility HR Manager plays a crucial role in providing professional consultation and leadership in all aspects of human resources for the J. Iverson Riddle Developmental Center. This position is responsible for managing HR programs, ensuring compliance with policies, and fostering effective relationships between management and staff. The HR Manager will forecast staffing needs, support workplace safety, and collaborate with various HR departments to enhance operational effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive, accurate, and timely service to managers, supervisors, and employees.
  • Ensure the organization's strategic needs and values align with HR policies and guidelines.
  • Forecast staffing needs and assess the effectiveness of HR programs.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with management and employees.
  • Partner with management on special projects and assignments.
  • Extract facility performance metrics to promote visibility and continuous operational improvements.
  • Collaborate with DHHS Core HR Departments and serve as a liaison for key HR initiatives.
  • Support workplace safety incidents and ensure compliance with third-party claim reporting and OSHA responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • At least 5 years of experience in human resources, including 2 years in an HR leadership position.
  • Strong knowledge of human resources principles and practices as an HR generalist or specialist.
  • Proven ability to provide effective management consultation in all HR areas.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, interpret, and apply HR policies and procedures.
  • Proven ability to manage, direct, motivate, and supervise HR professionals and technical specialists.
  • Effective communication skills with various stakeholders at all educational levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
