About the position
CompHealth is seeking a General Gastroenterologist to join our locum tenens team. This role focuses on providing high-quality patient care while we handle the logistics of the locums process, including credentialing, housing, and travel arrangements. The position requires a commitment to patient care and the ability to perform various procedures, ensuring a smooth experience for both the physician and the patients.
Responsibilities
- Perform an average of 12 procedures per day including General GI, EGD, colonoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, PEG, and enterscope.
- Manage patient care during weekdays, days, and on call, including weekend call duties.
- Coordinate with CompHealth for credentialing and privileging processes.
- Utilize the online portal for assignment details and time entry.
Requirements
- Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) in Gastroenterology.
- Active DEA license required.
- Ability to perform various GI procedures as listed.
