About the position

The Facility Maintenance II position is responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks across various fields such as carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing. The role involves inspecting buildings, performing minor repairs, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The technician will also maintain air conditioning systems and assist in creating a safe and comfortable working environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect buildings and structures to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions and needed repairs.
• Perform minor electrical maintenance including replacement or repair of fixtures.
• Conduct minor plumbing maintenance such as repairing leaks and unclogging drains.
• Execute minor painting, carpentry, and masonry work.
• Reconfigure and install modular offices and space to accommodate user needs.
• Prepare surfaces and paint various structures and equipment to maintain a safe environment.
• Order parts and maintain required documents.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, FDA, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; AA degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance preferred.
• 2 years of facility maintenance experience preferred; 5 years of related experience desired.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.

• Technical training in facility maintenance or related fields.
