About the position

The Facility Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and preservation of facilities at the Brunswick, GA Cellulose facility. This role involves ensuring compliance with company standards, collaborating with maintenance and operations teams, mentoring junior engineers, and assisting with environmental health and safety (EHS) tasks.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all work adheres to GP standards as provided by the company's Asset Health Team.
• Provide oversight and collaboration with area maintenance and operations teams on various facility components including tanks, pressure vessels, roofs, HVAC, piping, and more.
• Learn the Capital Process to assist Capital Project Engineers with project development and installation.
• Mentor less experienced engineering technical graduates to aid in their professional development.
• Assist EHS in maintaining the overland flow wastewater treatment plant and solid waste facilities as requested.

Requirements

• 5+ years of operations or maintenance manufacturing experience.
• 4+ years of supervisory experience within mill operations/maintenance or 4+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with relevant experience.
• Experience in analysis, design, fabrication, installation, and repair of various structures.
• Knowledge of soil properties for designing and repairing infrastructure.
• Ability to use AutoCAD, finite element analysis, and knowledge of building codes.
• PE in Civil Engineering or ability to obtain it.
