About the position

The Facility Maintenance Lead at Rockwood Shutters is responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations within the manufacturing facility. This role involves ensuring the functionality and safety of equipment, training maintenance staff, and implementing preventative maintenance procedures. The position requires effective communication with various departments and external service providers to resolve issues and improve operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with machinery manufacturer's service department to resolve issues.
• Design and implement cost-effective equipment modifications to improve safety and quality.
• Discuss and solve complex problems with production, quality, maintenance departments, sub-contractors, and suppliers.
• Train maintenance staff in control fields to enhance troubleshooting skills.
• Perform routine maintenance around the interior and exterior of the building.
• Conduct minor electrical maintenance including replacement or repair of fixtures, wall switches, and outlets.
• Perform minor plumbing maintenance including repair of leaks and unclogging drains.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures.
• Plan and schedule repairs, conducting quality checks on equipment regularly.

Requirements

• 1 year of maintenance experience (required).
• 1 year of experience in a manufacturing facility (required).
• Spanish speaking (required).
• Forklift experience (preferred).
• Ability to lift 30+ pounds (heavy lifting required).

Nice-to-haves

• Forklift experience beneficial.
