The Facility Maintenance Manager at Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operations of the Bronco Recreation and Intramural Complex (BRIC) and the Bronco Student Center (BSC). This position is under the general direction of the Associate Director of Facility Operations and involves managing a diverse team dedicated to ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of ASI facilities. The BRIC, which opened in 2014, serves as the campus's recreation center, featuring a fitness center, multi-purpose studios, an outdoor pool, gym courts, and an indoor track. The BSC, established in 1974 and expanded in subsequent years, functions as the student union and primary conference center, also housing food services operated by the Cal Poly Pomona Foundation. The Maintenance Manager is tasked with developing and implementing maintenance performance standards, managing preventative maintenance, and overseeing repair and replacement work conducted by both internal staff and external vendors. This role requires a strong focus on cost-effective and efficient operations, including utility management and facility safety coordination. The Maintenance Manager will also be responsible for budget development, financial planning, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and risk management protocols. In addition to technical skills, the position demands exceptional interpersonal abilities to foster a collaborative work environment and engage with various stakeholders, including students, staff, and external partners.
