About the position

The Facility Maintenance Manager at AMC Theatres is responsible for implementing and overseeing all facility-related maintenance programs and procedures to ensure compliance with AMC's standards of cleanliness, safety, and repair. This role involves performing inspections, managing maintenance tasks, and leading a team to maintain the theatre environment for both associates and guests.

Responsibilities

• Implement and oversee facility-related maintenance programs and procedures.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly building inspections to identify necessary repairs.
• Conduct routine maintenance and timely repairs in various areas including painting, plumbing, and equipment repair.
• Oversee vendor activities and monitor the quality of their work.
• Ensure all life safety systems are operational through inspections and maintenance contracts.
• Inspect janitorial services and address cleaning issues that do not meet standards.
• Report non-repairable facility issues to the General Manager and seek technical support as needed.
• Develop systems for constant monitoring of problem areas.
• Work with the General Manager to maintain a clean and safe environment for associates and guests.
• Track theatre Variable Operating Expenses related to maintenance and repairs.

Requirements

• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiencies in building trades including painting, plumbing, and equipment repair.
• Strong communication skills to provide clear details regarding building issues.
• Proven ability to lead teams and achieve results.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Six months of supervisory or leadership experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
• Demonstrated administrative and follow-up skills for maintenance programs.
