About the position

The Facility Maintenance Manager at AptarGroup is responsible for overseeing the maintenance of all manufacturing-related equipment, ensuring operational efficiency, and leading a team of maintenance personnel. This role involves developing and implementing preventative and predictive maintenance programs, collaborating with various departments to ensure equipment reliability, and managing maintenance processes and budgets. The position also requires a strong focus on safety, continuous improvement, and technical excellence within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead a data-driven, preventative and predictive work management program.
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering, and suppliers to ensure equipment reliability.
  • Implement and sustain maintenance processes including spare parts, CMMS, and TPM.
  • Lead the Scheduling and Planning functions aiming for 90% or greater planned work vs. reactive work.
  • Responsible for installation/relocation of manufacturing equipment.
  • Develop end-of-life asset replacement plans.
  • Motivate and engage maintenance personnel through strategic vision and clear communication.
  • Train technicians and maintenance staff on equipment use and maintenance.
  • Model and drive a mindset of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and coordinate technical training and apprenticeship programs.
  • Establish and maintain operating and capital budgets.
  • Monitor equipment spare parts inventory and manage orders.
  • Manage relationships with contractors and service providers.
  • Optimize PM activities in conjunction with scheduling and planning.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety policies.
  • Promote and support 5S within the facility.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the facilities to detect and resolve problems.
  • Check electrical and hydraulic systems of buildings for functionality.
  • Introduce and integrate new technology from the Engineering Group.
  • Support and develop other divisions in technical areas.
  • Utilize lean manufacturing concepts for maintenance and installation of equipment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • Certified advanced training in electrical/electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, plastics, and injection molding.
  • Familiarity with industry standard TPM packages.
  • Valid Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM) is a plus.
  • 10+ years' experience in industrial maintenance, reliability, and engineering with increasing responsibilities.

Nice-to-haves

  • PLC experience/knowledge, automation, servo motors.
  • Proven experience in TPM implementation and management.
  • Injection Molding equipment knowledge is a plus.
