About the position

As a Facility Maintenance Manager at AMC Theatres, you will be responsible for implementing and overseeing all facility-related maintenance programs and procedures to ensure that AMC standards of cleanliness, safety, and repair are upheld. This role requires a proactive approach to facility management, where you will perform daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of the building to identify necessary repairs and maintenance needs. You will be expected to carry out routine maintenance tasks in various areas including painting, carpentry, plumbing, and equipment repair, ensuring that all building components are in good working order. In addition to hands-on maintenance work, you will oversee vendor activities, scheduling repairs and maintenance as required, and closely monitoring their progress to ensure quality workmanship. Your role will also involve constant attention to life safety issues, ensuring that emergency systems are operational through regular inspections and vendor maintenance contracts. You will work closely with the General Manager to ensure that the theatre environment is clean, safe, and well-maintained for both associates and guests. Your leadership skills will be crucial as you provide training support for the market and uphold AMC's Business Practice Standards. You will also be responsible for tracking theatre Variable Operating Expenses (VOE) related to maintenance, repairs, and supplies, ensuring that all tasks are performed safely and effectively. Responsibilities

  • Implement and oversee all facility-related maintenance programs and procedures.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly building inspections to identify necessary repairs.
  • Carry out routine maintenance and timely repairs in areas such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, and equipment repair.
  • Oversee vendor activities, scheduling repair and maintenance needs as required.
  • Monitor progress of vendor work to ensure quality of work.
  • Ensure building emergency systems are operational through inspections and vendor maintenance contracts.
  • Inspect and provide direction to janitorial service providers regarding cleaning issues.
  • Report facility issues that are not immediately repairable to the General Manager.
  • Develop routine systems for constant monitoring of problem areas.
  • Work with the General Manager to ensure a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for associates and guests.
  • Track theatre Variable Operating Expenses (VOE) related to maintenance and repairs.
  • Follow safe use instructions for all chemicals and cleaning materials.
  • Provide training support for the market as directed.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiencies in building trades including painting, wallpapering, plumbing, and equipment repair.
  • Demonstrated administrative and follow-up skills to achieve successful maintenance and repair programs.
  • Strong communication skills to provide clear details regarding building issues.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and achieve results through resources.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Six months of supervisory or commensurate leadership experience.
