About the position

As a Facility Maintenance Manager at AMC Theatres, you will be responsible for implementing and overseeing all facility-related maintenance programs and procedures to ensure that AMC standards of cleanliness, safety, and repair are upheld. This role requires a proactive approach to facility management, where you will perform daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of the building to identify necessary repairs and maintenance needs. You will be expected to carry out routine maintenance tasks, including painting, carpentry, plumbing, and equipment repair, while also overseeing vendor activities to ensure quality work is completed in a timely manner. In addition to hands-on maintenance, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all life safety systems are operational through regular inspections and vendor maintenance contracts. You will also be responsible for monitoring janitorial services to ensure that cleaning standards meet AMC's expectations. Communication is key in this role, as you will need to report any facility issues to the General Manager and collaborate with the AMC Facility Engineer for technical support when necessary. Your ability to lead teams and manage resources effectively will be essential in achieving successful maintenance outcomes. The position also involves developing routine systems for monitoring problem areas and tracking Variable Operating Expenses (VOE) related to maintenance and repairs. You will be expected to follow all safety protocols when using tools and chemicals, and provide training support for the market as directed. Upholding AMC's Business Practice Standards and maintaining regular attendance for scheduled shifts are also critical components of this role.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and oversee facility-related maintenance programs and procedures.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly building inspections to identify necessary repairs.
  • Carry out routine maintenance tasks in areas such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, and equipment repair.
  • Oversee vendor activities and monitor progress to ensure quality of work.
  • Ensure all life safety systems are operational through inspections and vendor maintenance contracts.
  • Monitor janitorial services to ensure cleaning standards meet AMC expectations.
  • Report facility issues to the General Manager and seek technical support as needed.
  • Develop routine systems for monitoring problem areas in the facility.
  • Track theatre Variable Operating Expenses (VOE) related to maintenance and repairs.
  • Follow safety instructions for the use of chemicals and tools.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiencies in building trades including painting, plumbing, and equipment repair.
  • Strong communication skills to provide clear details regarding building issues.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and achieve results through resources.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Six months of supervisory or leadership experience.
