About the position
The position involves implementing and overseeing facility-related maintenance programs and procedures to ensure AMC Theatres meet standards of cleanliness, safety, and repair. The role requires a proactive approach to maintenance, inspections, and vendor management, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for both associates and guests.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly building inspections to identify necessary repairs.
- Conduct routine maintenance and timely repairs in areas such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, and food and beverage equipment.
- Oversee vendor activities, scheduling repair and maintenance needs, and monitoring progress for quality of work.
- Ensure all life safety issues are addressed and building emergency systems are operational through inspections and vendor maintenance contracts.
- Inspect and provide direction to janitorial service providers regarding cleaning issues that do not meet AMC standards.
- Report non-repairable facility issues to the theatre General Manager and seek technical support as needed.
- Develop routine systems for monitoring problem areas in the facility.
- Work with the General Manager to ensure a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for associates and guests.
- Track theatre Variable Operating Expenses (VOE) related to maintenance, repairs, and supplies.
- Follow safe usage instructions for all chemicals and cleaning materials.
- Provide training support for the market as directed.
Requirements
- Age 18 or older; other location-specific age requirements may apply.
- Six months of supervisory or leadership experience.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, lifting, twisting, and bending frequently.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and carry it up to 90 feet.
Nice-to-haves
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiencies in building trades including painting, wallpapering, plumbing, and equipment repair.
- Strong communication skills to provide clear details regarding building issues.
- Proficiency in MS Suite.
